Harrier Model

My initial objective for the animation project on the MSc at the NCCA, was to model a Harrier aircraft in Maya and produce textures for it using RenderMan. As the project progressed, it expanded to include a variety of pipeline issues.

The large image accessed from the link below, shows an ambient occlusion pass of the Harrier. The model does include quite a lot of additional detail, for example, exhaust fins, air intakes and undercarriage.

The majority of the organic pieces of the model were constructed from polygon or subdivision cylinders. Additional detail was often added in subdivision surface polygon proxy mode.
